It was a full filled Saturday for me. It all started at 0500 as I got ready to head to Schofiled for our normal Saturday cycling ride. Picked up Steve Steele and Steve Lindsey and drove up north. Rode about 50 miles and headed home for lunch. Met my buddy Joe at Pearlridge theater to catch the new movie Jumper. It was pretty good but they left the end open for a 2nd movie. Went back home, and met my family for dinner. I decided to take them bowling at Hickam as a treat from their uncle. To my surprise, it was glow in the dark night. It was pretty cool and we bowled 2 games. Haven't bowled in 10 years, uncle got spanked! My 4 year old nephew had a blast! It was comical watching him pick up a 11lb ball (which he wanted), wobble to the lane and chuck it down the lane. We had the bumpers up for him and watching his "dance and expression" was priceless! I looked at my watch and it was after 2200 and this old man was starting to lose energy.
I told them if they keep their grades up and do their chores, I would take them once or twice a month. This week at work has been crazy. We had a recruiter transfer so I am now the full time liaison for the Coast Guard at the Military Entrance Processing Center. My new work hours are from 0500-1800. Pretty much sucks but I guess I can hold out for 5 months until the new guy reports in.
I went to the Bike Shop today to have them EZ out a broken bolt in my race stem. While "LOOKING" around I saw a pair of unwated orphan shoes in the corner. It was saying "take me home"! I could not resist those sad eyes so I went ahead and got them. I must say that they match my new HACC clothing! Check out the white carbon soles! After spending time with family and friends this weekend, who cares about work...
