Today was the first race of the season, Makaha Time Trial. Steve, Casey and myself rolled into Yokohama Beach Park with about an hour to spare. John Girsmey (Hacc Daddy) had the banner and tent already set up. We set the bike on the trainers and began warming up. I headed to the start line and as soon as I put my front wheel on the start, rain drops began to fall. 1 mile into the race the sky opened up with a heavy downpour. The winds kicked up so bad that I had to get out of the aerobars to prevent me from going off the road. I started 30 seconds in front of Steve Steele in turn started 1:00 min in front of Casey. Less than a 1/8 of a mile from the finish, Casey caught me. He did well and being 20 years his elder, both Steve and myself did extremely well.
I seriously think if Casey can control his speed on easy days and recover, he will definitely don a Hawaii State Champion Jersey this year. Steve, Casey and myself have a big competition with each other. I lost against him, so I owe him dinner. HACC did extremely well taking 4 medals home!
John Gimsey Golden Masters - 1st Place
Casey Tucker Cat 4-5 - 1st Place
Ben Sambrano Cat 4-5 - 2nd Place
John Girmsey, Hawaii Senior Olympics - 1st Place
Just before I started my race, the sky opened up and unleashed heavy rains and winds

Maybe you should try downgrading to a Cat 5, maybe you can win something then!
