It's been a great year! Ended it with a afternoon ride with Jeff. I did 4 loops (40 miles) with him on Hickam and then 2 more on my own which put me at 60 miles. The year went by so quickly and I had some really fond memories for 2008. I lost family and friends, changing cycling teams, bought a dog, and fixed some bicycles. 2008 brought friends from the east coast to Hawaii, Tim, Lance, Will, Holly and Gordy (not all at the same time). It was nice to see old friends.
I down sized the stable of bikes and sold 4 frames. Ended up buying 2, Specialized SL2 and a Specialized Transition TT Bike. I was fortunate to win 2 State Time Trial Championship jerseys with the help of Steve Chirco, Steve Steele, and Casey Tucker. I think I am a marked man in the 40-44 age group for 2009! (From what I have been hearing) LOL!
To sum this year up, family and friends were very supportive! Thanks for all you done! I put together a short 10 min video in which shows the special memories that I will always remember. Special thanks to the Soots, Andrews, and Steele's who constantly supplied endless food to me! Your dinners ROCK!
