CARBON IN THE HOUSE!
With the race season just around the corner, training is in full swing! Time to bump it up a notch! Originally I signed up for the Great Aloha Run on Monday but think I may opt to head to Mokuleia and throw in some TT practice. I am still waiting for my new disc to arrive. Was hoping for today but no such luck... Got my fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Got some new equipment for this race season...
Last season I used a Zipp 900 for the 40k and Team Time Trial. This season I decided I am done Fu#%ing around and might as well go all out. I upgraded to a 2009 Zipp Sub9 Disc. Supposedly this disc has a -8 drag factor thus meaning creating lift at 15 degrees.
For more carbon, I replaced my crappy shit Vision rattle levers for some Sram TT Carbon. Installed them this evening and internal cable housing eliminates the use of bar wrap! Had to take a dremel to file down the inside of the bars. They look great and maybe I'll throw them on for my TT training on Saturday!
A sleek Giro TT Advantage helmet will go great with my Hele Broadband skinsuit to arrive in a few weeks. Just have to slap on my Hele decals that Ed has for me! Some aero shoe covers and the new Specialized Transition upgrade from the Cervelo P2C. Ordered another Powermeter mount for the TT bike.

How much is that in dollars per second saved? Like Mastercard, it's priceless, I know. I understand the wheel and even the levers, but you already have two tt helmets that look pretty slick. Just throw me your hand-me-downs so I can get faster too.
