Finally got a chance to take the Specialized Tarmac out. It's been hanging up and hasn't got much use since I got the Litespeed Siena. This bike has a different weave pattern then normal carbon frames. I was trying to save some dollars so this one is outfitted with campy carbon chorus.
Cranks are FSA carbon and came with a gold / yellow design which matches the frame. Alien carbon seat post and SLR seat. The brakeset is made by Cane Creek and are titanium. I threw on the Reynolds Carbon Attacks which are about 1350 grams a set.

Today I got a call from my old cycling buddy Atomman Kimm. He was in the neighborhood and invited me to join him over at Bandito's Mexican Restaurant. We talked about a lot of things and even a cycling trip over to Kauai with Tradewinds and HACC. We started talking about new frames and he got me thinking about buying a new time trial frame. Specialized came out with a pretty sick looking aero frame. I think I may head down to the Bike Shop tomorrow and test ride one. I really like the blue and white paint scheme as it would also math my Zipp 808's. Damn... I got bike fever again! What do youguys think?
Hmm, stick with the Cervelo! I don't know why you'd want that Specialized. Well, they look different and I've not seen one on O'ahu yet, but well... if it floats you boat =) ... I'd like to see wind tunnel comparrison between that and a P2 or P3C or TTX... I have a feeling that it's not quite as fast as all the marketing hype.
ReplyDeleteWhy not? It's not like you have any bikes - you seem to really like cycling. Seems like you should have some bikes to go with that passion.
