NEEDED REST - EASY 30 - FIELD TRIP

(got a bee sting in both my quads hehehe)

After yesterday's disastrous ride I decided to take an easy Sunday ride. At 0645 Sheri Chirco, Jim Phillips, Steve Steele, Dev Andrews and myself all showed up. We wanted to do something
different so we rode to Sand Island because Jim hasn't been there before. I told him he wasn't missing anything but if we are lucky, we may catch a glimpse of a crack whore, drug dealers and homeless people. Once we left, we proceeded to Lagoon Drive where Steve Steele had a flat.

The weather was great and while Steve was repairing his flat, I snapped some pics. Dev has been riding religiously and seems like his power and speed is progressing well. He's even launching
attacks now! We escorted Sheri home to find her hubby Steve Chirco all dressed up and ready to ride at his secret spot!
Caught this rare Hawaii Plant called "whatisdatgrowingovadea" (What is that growing over there) The flower closely resembles a helmet. You may have to stare at it awhile to make out the helmet.

Then it was the boys day out as we took a field trip to Momentum Multi sport. We were suppose to go get tubes and water bottles but some of us walked out with...
I wont list the items so that you can slowly tell your wives! Then on the way home we caught Bryant doing some secret training through housing. He said it was a short run so I am thinking maybe 18-25 miles.
Biz was trying to unload these bright blue shorts to us. If I tried to put these on it would be like "Putting 10lbs of potatoes in a 5lb bag"!
I think Steve and Dev got a pair, a great addition to hairy legs!

After feeling the effects of increased training I ended up crashing at 8pm last night. Woke up refreshed felt 100% better. I even relaxed and caught a movie yesterday afternoon and saw Ironman. My buddy Darryl emailed me and did up a last min. TT training for the next 2 weeks. Most of all he thinks the effects may have come from me over training. You know what? He may be right...

  1. Sounds like you needed the rest buddy! Looks like you also lost some weight and gained some power in your legs since the last time I saw you!

  2. If you truely possess the family curse, you only need to ride a couple hours a week and still win...
