50 MILER - 12 MILE RUN - 15lb BIKE?

What a great way to end a weekend! On Saturday I met up with Dev, Casey, Jeff S. at the Hickam Gym for our early Saturday morning ride. We took Kamehameha Hwy to Farrington Hwy and went thru historic Waipahu. I introduced the guys to a back route to the base of Kunia. There we met up with Shaka T and proceeded the climb up Kunia. We got to the top an decided to ride Kole Kole on Schofield. We returned back to base with a solid 50 mile ride. Check out Dev's and Jeff's blog for more detailed ride info.

On the way back we stopped at the Bike Shop and
decided to weigh my Specialized Roubaix Pro. We threw this puppy on the scale and even the shop employees was speechless when they saw the scale! Yes, thats correct, it weighed in at 15.1 pounds! I just need to shed .15lbs and this bike will be in the 14lb range. I guess it's time to look for skewers, cassette, and campy record front derr. (Yes, I do have a centaur one on the bike).

This morning I met up with Jeff S., Casey, and Marcus for our weekly 12 mile run. We waited until 0610 for CMsgt but he never showed up. We started the run and at mile 2 I was already warmed up. So I decided to roll the dice and run hard until my pace would drop off. I felt really great and was running 7:xx:xx min miles. I got to the 6 mile turn around and dropped the hammer again running a 6:xx:xx for 2 more miles. Since the weight loss my cycling and running has made a substantial increase in performance. I started my 7 days of leave so I will be able to get some quality workouts in!

I fnally found a store that carries FRS nutrition drink!
I also ran across the Dora Doll which should be awarded to D.A. who holds the current points. Sippee Cup!
