It's been a couple of weeks since Maya came home. She has now reached her 10th week and I must say, she is awesome! She has been crate trained since week 6 and now barks at the back door when she needs to go and relieve herself. She has learned to sit, shake, fetch, and bark in the 5 weeks I have had her. She has not chewed on any of the furniture (yet) and been chewing her rope toy. In 2 weeks, I will probably start leaving her alone in the kitchen with the child gate up.
Check out the video of Maya in action with her commands. Thanks to Steve Steele who let me borrow a book on dog training. Plus I have watched every episode of the dog whisperer since her arrival! Ceasar ROCKS!
I decided not to race the Boca Stage Race this weekend and just concentrate on miles for Dick Evan's Road Race in September. I have been doing quite a bit of running and will be running the Hickam Half Marathon in a couple of weeks. Our weekly 12 mile runs have been going well and I will be bumping it up the 14 miles this weekend. This weekend I plan on doing a 60-80 miler with Jeff and Dev. On another note FRS is here! It's been a couple of days without FRS (Free Radical Scavenger) healthy energy drink. Jeff stopped by this morning and got me 3 packs! Thanks Jeff!
