It's been a couple of months since I posted anything on Maya. First picture shows her at 8 weeks when she first got home. Second picture is her at 20 weeks! She's really growing fast and weighs in about 30 pounds. Maya has been a great puppy with no major issues around the house. She has learned not to chew on anything except her toys and rawhide and understands "chewie" which means go get your toy.
She fetches, understands sit, lay down, speak and shake. I never knew how faithful dogs are until the past 2 months. She sleeps at the foot of the bed, once in a while she will jump up on bed and sleep on my feet! She is VERY active and needs a walk daily to calm her down. At 8 weeks she was already going for 2 mile walks.
Her bark is starting to develop and loves to play with kids. Jeff's kids Amanda and Jake love playing with her. Dev's dog Cooper is finally getting comfortable around her.
Friday night the weather was just awesome! I took some sunset pictures from my Blackberry not knowing that Saturday was going to be a washout from training. At 0800 I took Dev to the airport for his TDY trip to Japan. Got home and pretty much was a slug with the rain. Watched some television and fell asleep...
Took Maya out for a walk on Friday night and the sunset was just gorgeous! I had to snap some photos with my blackberry along Fox Ave. on Hickam Air Force Base.
Can you believe this fall weather? LOL! I may take the next few weeks off the bike and concentrate on running. My two training buddies Jeff and Dev are tied up. Jeff has his brother from Alaska visiting and Dev is TDY for 2 weeks. I have been golfing with Steve Steele on Weds. nights at the Par 3 course on Hickam. Great way to mix up working out followed by beers. His wife Chris is our score keeper and keeps us honest from cheating. 2 weeks ago Steve beat me by 4 strokes, last week I beat him by one.
Oh my...that can't be the same dog. LOl. My how dogs grow sooooo fast. She's not a cutie anymore...She's a beauty!
