Last night I was scrambling around to find uniform items for my Dress Bravo uniform. I have a couple of photos that will to be taken this morning and couldn't find two important items. First one was my necktie and second was my long sleeve blue shirt. I ran over to the Coast Guard Exchange and found the tie! On the way out they had a Christmas tree set up and it was on sale for $39.00. I asked the sales clerk if they had anymore and she said "they have been marked down 50% and on sale for $29.00". WHAT A DEAL! A pre lit Christmas tree for that price, I'll take one. Ran over to the BX and got me a blue shirt so mission was complete. I got home, changed, threw my Nite-Rider light on my bike and headed out to meet Dev. We got 2 loops in before the sun went down and was able to ride one more lap in the dark. I escorted Chief home, put on my back light and headed back out to the tower for 2 more laps in the pitch dark. Got 5 laps (48.7 miles) in last night. Seems that it's the only way to get in some serious miles this time of the year in the middle of the week.

Got home after dark and jumped on the scale. 159.0 even! This morning I weighed in at 158.5, so it seems that the running and riding has been paying off. My goal is to be 152 before the end of the year and start race season around 145-148 lbs. After dinner and a sugar craving I started to set up my tree. getting in the holiday spirit is great! As I opened the box, something didnt look right. I set up the base, stand and was on a roll. I installed the second section, looking good! Then I looked in the box, NO 3RD SECTION! WTF!

I scream NOOOOOOOO! So here's a picture of a 50% off Christmas Tree! Literally 50%! I talked to Jeff and Dev and of course, they said it was the funniest thing of the year. No use cry over something out of your control! I sat back, pondered, looked at Maya and said... "This is actually pretty funny"! I laughed and will be the first in line when the doors open at the exchange, literally EXCHANGE!
Happy Holidays!

Nice tree, Charlie Brown! HA!
